The Family Tree Mural

This mural was designed to artfully and visually bring to life the client’s own family tree. The graphic approach to the design of the tree allows the photos to be the centre of attention.  The client also wanted it to be a participative process to create a cherished lifelong memory. Using wooden dowels and sponges we created stencils, and the family was able to dip into the colours and add in their contribution – we had a lot of fun in the process!

‘The Great Wave off Kanagawa’

This bedroom was designed for a young collector of Manga comics. The striking mural ‘The Great Wave off Kanagawa’ is its focal point. I commissioned the mural and collaborated on it with a talented muralist duo who happened to be the client’s cousins. We were able to adapt the artwork to fit into the space, while keeping the integrity of the famous work of art intact.

The Cathedral Pre-Primary School Mural

This mural was commissioned by the school to bring some colour and spark to the children’s sand-pit. The theme was ‘tropical reef’ which was also what the kids happened to be learning about at the time. Since the mural was outdoors we decided to do a tile mosaic. From sketches to execution, this entire artwork was a fun collaboration and the children got to see the entire process and also participate in it by sticking some of the tile pieces.
