Reception Desk

The reception desk had a role to play – to create drama at the entrance and to speak of the design language of office. I chose quirky lines and planes which cut away to reveal the large brushed steel logo behind it. The acrylic felt like the right material to provide privacy without taking away from the strong object form of the desk itself.

Artifact

Our client found 2 interesting pieces of old furniture at the Chor Bazaar market, perhaps part of a bed. He was keen on using them in his home. I collaborated with Magnolia to create this stunning artifact with its brass inlay. It has a completely organic and intriguing feel and looks great in any nook in the house!

Storage Unit

This was designed as a display-cum-storage unit. The use of rubber wood and wrought iron was in keeping with the language of the built-in desks and storage in the rest of the office. Here the focus is on balancing the solids and voids to create lightness. The lines are simple and the piece serves as an elegant backdrop to the knick-knacks it houses.

Rug

This was done in collaboration with Latika of Loops by Latika. The rug was to be the wall art in the mostly white entrance nook of the apartment and needed to be colourful and organic. We worked with one of Latika’s existing pieces and adapted the colours, shape and design to make a perfect fit.
